Fire Protection, Prevention and Safety Awareness (OSHA)
According to the US Fire Administration, in 2010 there were 3,391 fire related deaths. Although these numbers are decreasing, training and awareness can help to reduce the number of deaths still further, and your immediate actions when faced with a fire, no matter how small, can determine the outcome.By following some simple rules, you can protect both yourself and others from the danger of fire; so training in the various types of extinguishers and regular fire drills, will help workers understand the importance of good fire safety.
- Explain how a fire starts.
- Recognize the fire prevention measures that can be put in place.
- Identify the types of fire and fire extinguishers.
